In the course of our lives, it seems that we are most powerfully compelled by two forces: fear and love. They shape the decisions we make, the ways live and exist and what we believe ourselves to be capable of. In this way, the forces of fear and love may even come to define us.
We may be met with decisions that force a difficult choice: to act, either consciously/unconsciously, out of fear, or out of love. Sometimes we mistake our fear and doubt with the voice of reason. Other times love propels radical leaps into vast, uncertain future, if we are willing to surrender to that uncertainty.
This project seeks to initiate written and artistic dialog that examines the ways people are shaped by these forces in their lives. We want to hear about your thoughts and experiences, what love means to you, and how it affects the decisions you make. Selected submissions will be included in one (or more) of our exhibitions.
